Jay Leno Headlines the 13th Annual Boca Raton Concours d'Élégance Premier Guide Miami Jay Leno — comedian, car collector, and one of South Florida's most reliable celebrity guests — attended the entire three-day weekend of the 13th Annual Boca Raton Concours d'Élégance presented by Mercedes-Benz and AutoNation , held February 22–24, 2019 at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. Leno served as celebrity guest at the duPont Registry™ Live Hangar Party on Friday evening at Atlantic Aviation, where guests browsed exotic cars, motorcycles, and private jets alongside tastings from more than 20 of South Florida's finest restaurants. On Saturday, he made informal appearances at the automotive seminars before headlining the Grand Gala Dinner, Auction & Show — one of the most anticipated evenings on the South Florida social calendar. The gala also featured the presentation of the National Automotive Manufacturer Lifetime Achievement Award to Mercedes-Benz USA President & CEO Dietmar Exler, the National Automotive Dealer Lifetime Achievement Award to Rick Hendrick of Hendrick Automotive Group and Hendrick Motorsports, and the National Automotive Racing Lifetime Achievement Award to Ryan Hunter-Reay. On Sunday, Leno joined an exclusive VIP brunch with Wayne Carini, host of Chasing Classic Cars , before walking the show field as a celebrity judge — searching for his favorite automobile and motorcycle to present the Jay Leno Big Dog Garage Award . Over 200 collector cars and motorcycles were on display, with the 2019 Collector of the Year, Robert Jepson of Savannah, Georgia, debuting several rare vehicles including a 1920 Stutz Bearcat and a 1926 McFarlan Model 145. The 2019 edition celebrated the Marque of the Year: Bentley Motorcars on its 100th anniversary. The event, founded and directed by Rita & Rick Case of The Rick Case Automotive Group, is the world's largest charity concours, with all proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County — an organization serving more than 12,300 at-risk youth annually. To date, the event has raised more than $10 million for the organization. For Leno, South Florida is familiar territory. The comedian and car enthusiast is a regular presence in the region — whether headlining comedy shows, judging auto events, or lending his name to charitable causes.
