The Pérez Art Museum Miami brings back its beloved late-night party series for Art Basel week. Free with museum admission — one of the best Art Week events that doesn't require a fair ticket.

PAMM Downtown Underground returns for Art Week 2026 on Wednesday, December 3 — the night before Art Basel opens to the public. It's one of the most anticipated free events of the week: the museum stays open late, DJs take over the terraces, and the galleries are yours to wander without the daytime crowds.
What It Is
Downtown Underground is PAMM's late-night series, and the Art Week edition is the flagship. The format is simple: live music and DJ sets on the outdoor terraces overlooking Biscayne Bay, full access to the galleries and current exhibitions, food and drinks available throughout. It's a party, but it's also a genuinely good way to see the museum — the energy is different at night, and the crowds are different too.
The Art Week Context
Happening on VIP Preview Day — the night the fair's biggest collectors are in town — Downtown Underground draws a mix of the art world and the city. It's one of the few Art Week events that feels genuinely Miami rather than imported. The waterfront setting, the warm air, the music bouncing off the bay. This is the city doing what it does.
