Hard Rock Live in Hollywood has hosted some of the most memorable nights in South Florida's concert history. Shakira's Up on December 29 added another one to the list.
Shakira 's Up Close & Personal Tour stopped at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood on December 29, and the show was a full theatrical production — 28 songs, multiple costume changes, video interludes, and an acting sequence involving a robot — that demonstrated why she remains one of the most compelling live performers in pop music. The evening began with official music videos playing before the show — "Puntería," "Chantaje," "La Tortura," "Beautiful Liar" — before the set opened with a video interlude and "La fuerte." A Black Eyed Peas cover of "GIRL LIKE ME" and a medley of "Las de la intuición / Estoy aquí" preceded "Empire / Inevitable." A robot acting interlude led into "Te felicito" with an extended intro, followed by a KAROL G cover of "TQG" and "Don't Bother" with alternate lyrics. A video interlude featuring Milan and Sasha singing introduced "Acróstico," one of the night's most emotionally charged moments. The middle of the set moved through "Copa vacía," "La bicicleta," "La tortura," and "Hips Don't Lie" with Mapalé elements before "Chantaje" arrived with a backstage costume change and a return in a salsa version. "Pies descalzos, sueños blancos" in a rock version, "Antología," "Underneath Your Clothes," and "Whenever, Wherever" — with Sahara Mix elements and a Pepsi Super Bowl LIV Halftime show remix — led into "Waka Waka" with Champeta dance and an extended outro. The encore brought "She Wolf" and a closing "BZRP Music Sessions #53" with a Tiësto Remix and extended outro that ended the night at full volume.
