Peloton instructor, author, and motivational speaker Tunde Oyeneyin is coming to Miami on October 24 for a free event at the Capital One Café in Brickell — a fireside chat on financial confidence, personal growth, and living with intention. Two hours, no ticket required, and a scent bar waiting for you on the other side.

If you know Tunde from the Peloton app, you know the energy: direct, warm, and built around the idea that physical discipline and personal clarity are the same practice. Her 2022 memoir Speak extended that into a full philosophy — how to use your voice, how to move through fear, how to build a life that actually reflects what you value. The Capital One series takes that framework and applies it specifically to money. Not budgeting tips. Not investment products. The deeper question of why so many people feel anxious or disconnected when it comes to their finances, and what it looks like to close that gap.

What the Money, Mindset & Mantras Format Actually Is

Capital One's Money, Mindset & Mantras series is structured as a moderated fireside conversation — not a lecture, not a panel. Tunde speaks with a host and takes questions from the room. The format is deliberately intimate: these events are held inside Capital One Cafés, which are designed to feel more like a coffee shop than a bank branch. The Brickell location at 850 South Miami Avenue seats a limited number of guests, which means the conversation stays close. Previous stops in the series have covered topics like the emotional weight of financial decisions, how to align spending with personal values, and what it means to build financial confidence as a practice rather than a destination.

The "mantras" part of the title is not metaphorical decoration. Tunde has spoken publicly about using affirmation and intention-setting as actual tools — not in a vague wellness-speak way, but as a method for interrupting the anxiety loop that most people experience around money. Expect the conversation to go there: the psychology of financial avoidance, the stories we inherit about what we deserve, and how to rewrite them. It's the kind of talk that tends to land differently in person than it does in a podcast clip.

The Scent Bar Experience

After the fireside chat, attendees move to an interactive scent bar where they create a custom fragrance based on their personal intentions. The exercise is designed as a physical extension of what was just discussed — translating an abstract goal or value into something sensory and tangible. You leave with a signature scent you made, tied to whatever you decided to carry forward from the conversation. It's the kind of detail that makes this feel less like a financial seminar and more like a Saturday morning worth showing up for. Capital One has used experiential activations like this across the series to give attendees something to take home beyond notes.

Why This Lands in Miami Right Now

Miami's wellness community has grown significantly over the past several years — not just in the number of studios and practitioners, but in the conversation around what wellness actually means. The city has a large population of entrepreneurs, creatives, and first-generation wealth builders who are navigating financial decisions without the inherited frameworks that older money tends to come with. Events like this one sit at the intersection of that gap: they're not aimed at people who already have a financial advisor and a five-year plan. They're aimed at people who are building something and want to feel less alone in the process.

Brickell is also the right neighborhood for it. The area has become a genuine live-work-play district over the past decade, with a resident population that skews younger and more financially ambitious than the city's older enclaves. A free Saturday morning event with Tunde Oyeneyin, held inside a café that doesn't require you to be a customer, is exactly the kind of thing that fits how that community actually moves.

This is Tunde's second Miami appearance that weekend. She's also headlining the Faces of Fitness Miami festival on October 25 at Bayfront Park — an outdoor wellness festival with Peloton instructors, live DJ sets, and free workouts. If you're going to one, it's worth planning for both.

Tunde's History with Capital One Events

Tunde has been part of Capital One's community programming for several years. Previous events have included "Money Talks" at Herald Square in New York in February 2024 and "Your Purpose is Your Power" stops in Glendale, Houston, and Fort Lauderdale. The format has evolved with each iteration — the scent bar activation is newer, and the Money, Mindset & Mantras framing is the most direct the series has been about the financial confidence angle. The Miami event is one of two stops on this current run: Capital One is also hosting the same format at its Southport location in Chicago on November 14. That event is already full and on waitlist only, which gives you a sense of the demand.

The event is free and open to everyone — you do not need to be a Capital One customer to attend. Space is limited, and advance registration is required through Capital One's event page. Given that Chicago is already waitlisted, registering early for Miami is the move.

October 24, 11:00 AM–1:00 PM. Capital One Café Brickell, 850 S Miami Ave. Free. Registration required.
