Pink This Weekend

Pink October

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This weekend: Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood's PINKTOBER activations continue through the month. Maple Ash Miami's Second Chances cocktail — a portion of proceeds benefits breast cancer research — is still on the menu. Sexy Fish's Dream of Pink cocktail at the bar. And the Monnalisa Goes Pink gift-with-purchase at Bal Harbour Shops runs through October 22. The month is almost over. If you've been meaning to make a reservation or raise a glass for the cause, this is the last full weekend to do it.

The Dish This Weekend

The Weekend Notebook

If you're going to use Miami Spice this weekend — Grand Public in Coconut Grove at CocoWalk is the call. The Lobster Ravioli ($32 on the Spice menu) — Maine lobster, creamy butternut squash, lemon butter, sage — is the kind of dish that makes the prix fixe format feel like a deal rather than a compromise. The Sunday Football Club runs all day Sunday with the full kitchen open, no cover, and proper cocktails. Two different reasons to go to the same address this weekend.

“Miami Spice runs through October 31. Make the reservation. The rest of the weekend takes care of itself.”
