Halloween in Miami is a completely different beast. The city ranks among the top in the country for the spooky season — and this year the calendar runs nine days, not one night. The challenge is not finding something to do. It's building a strategy that doesn't leave you stuck in gridlock on the 836 at 11 PM in a costume.

We pulled every confirmed event from our database, cross-referenced transit corridors, and built a day-by-day playbook. Here's how to do Miami Halloween without the regret.

Thursday, October 22 — The Warm-Up

Hocus Pocus Fan Experience at The Parker (Fort Lauderdale) — Wells Hall at The Parker, 707 NE 8th Street. The full Hocus Pocus 18+ fan experience with pre-show cocktail hour at The Haller Club. Tickets via Ticketmaster. If you're coming from Miami, Brightline drops you at Fort Lauderdale station — it's a 12-minute walk or a $6 rideshare to The Parker.

YMU Halloween Moonlight Masquerade — The Sacred Space, 105 NE 24th St, Miami. The 3rd annual Young Musicians Unite masquerade. Tickets at ymu.org. Midtown location, easy Metromover access from downtown.

Friday, October 23 — The Opening Night

Spooky Symphony at the Moss Center — FREE — Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center, 9990 SW 168th St, Miami. A full orchestral Halloween production, family-friendly, no ticket required. This is the high-value move of the entire weekend. World-class symphonic music at zero cost. Transit note: The South Dade Transitway rapid-bus corridor runs parallel to US-1 and drops within a short walk of the center — use it to bypass the weekend bottleneck on the highway entirely.

Kiki on the River: Paws & Pose Halloween Dog Fashion Show — 450 NW North River Drive, Miami. The $99 Paw-Ty Pass includes a signature brunch dish, welcome cocktail, and entry into the grand prize competition. A celebrity panel judges the canine costume contest on the riverfront. Transit note: Street parking on NW North River Drive fills early — plan to rideshare in. Book the Paw-Ty Pass at tickettailor.com.

Deering Estate: Moon Viewing & Moonlight Kayak Tour — 16701 SW 72nd Ave, Palmetto Bay. Two separate programs running Friday night — a guided moon viewing on the historic grounds and a kayak tour through the mangrove shoreline. Tickets at deeringestate.org. The ghost tours also run Thursday and Friday this week before the main Saturday push.

Halloween Movie Night at Solei Beach Club — Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel, 1717 Collins Ave, Miami Beach. Beetlejuice on the outdoor screen at the pool. Tickets at surfcomber.com. The same venue runs a Murder Mystery Dinner on Saturday — see below.

Saturday, October 24 — The Main Event

Saturday the 24th is the highest-density day of the weekend. Multiple major events run simultaneously across Miami-Dade and Broward. Pick your lane early — trying to move between venues after 9 PM is a losing proposition.

Halloween Uncorked — Pinecrest Gardens — 11000 Red Road, Pinecrest. The annual wine-and-costume event at one of Miami's most beautiful outdoor venues. Tickets required at pinecrestgardens.org. This sells out. If you haven't bought tickets, check availability now.

Halloween Murder Mystery Dinner at Solei Beach Club — Kimpton Surfcomber, 1717 Collins Ave, Miami Beach. A Killer Evening — sip, dine, and solve a crime. Tickets at surfcomber.com. The tablescape is legitimately impressive; this is a proper sit-down production, not a gimmick.

Halloween Half Marathon & Freaky 4 Miler — Lummus Park, Ocean Drive & 5th St, Miami Beach. Race morning starts early. If you're running, you're done by noon and have the rest of the day free. Tickets at halloweenhalfmarathon.com.

Vampire Circus at The Parker (Fort Lauderdale) — Wells Hall, 707 NE 8th Street. The Parker's second major Halloween production of the week. Pre-show cocktail hour at The Place To Be. Tickets via Ticketmaster. Brightline from Miami to Fort Lauderdale is the move — 30 minutes, no parking.

Ghost Tour at Cauley Square Historic Village — 22400 Old Dixie Hwy, Miami. One of the most underrated Halloween experiences in South Florida. The historic village at night is genuinely atmospheric. Tickets at cauleysquare.com.

Jungle Island: Halloween Nights 2026 — 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami. The island goes full Halloween after dark. Tickets at jungleisland.com.

Sunday, October 25 — The Curated Day

Sunday is the best day to build a full itinerary without fighting peak crowds. Here's the PGM chronological playbook.

9:30 AM — Vizcaya Village Halloween Harvest Farmers Market — 3251 S Miami Ave, Miami. Free admission. Local artisans, fresh farm finds, and themed community activities on the historic Vizcaya grounds. Grab breakfast from the food vendors and walk the property before the crowds arrive.

11:00 AM — Sole & Wheels: Halloween Night 5K — The Underline — Vizcaya Station Plaza, 3251 SW 22nd Terrace. Free community run along The Underline trail in costume. Starts at Vizcaya, which means you can walk directly from the farmers market. Zero cost, zero driving.

2:00 PM — NWS Spooky Symphony for Kids — New World Center, 500 17th St, Miami Beach. $15–$35. The New World Symphony's family Halloween concert. If you have kids, this is the move. World-class musicians in a world-class hall, specifically programmed for younger audiences. Tickets at nws.edu.

7:30 PM — Historic Ghost Tour at Deering Estate — 16701 SW 72nd Ave, Palmetto Bay. $45 per person. The most haunted location in South Florida. This nighttime walking tour covers indigenous history, early pioneers, and documented paranormal activity inside the historic Richmond Cottage. Bring your own flashlights — you're allowed to hunt for anomalies yourself. Check-in closes exactly 15 minutes before start time. The Stone House is currently under restoration; the Richmond Cottage is fully accessible. Tickets at deeringestate.org.

Also Sunday: Pinecrest Zombie Run — Pinecrest, FL. Tickets at pinecrest-fl.gov. The zombie run returns to Evelyn Greer Park — a legitimate obstacle-course format with costumed zombie actors. If you're skipping the ghost tour, this is the alternative evening anchor.

Thursday–Friday, October 29–30 — The Build

FilmGate Horror Festival — Wednesday Oct 28 — Silverspot Cinema Downtown Miami, 300 SE 3rd St. Short horror film screenings from the FilmGate festival. Tickets at filmgatemiami.org. A genuinely good alternative to the club circuit mid-week.

Ghostbusters in Concert — Friday Oct 30 — Adrienne Arsht Center, Knight Concert Hall, 1300 Biscayne Blvd. Live orchestra performs the Ghostbusters score while the film plays on screen. This is a proper concert-hall production. Tickets at arshtcenter.org. One of the most underrated Halloween events in the city.

Candlelight: Halloween Classics at Fontainebleau — Friday Oct 30 — Fontainebleau Miami Beach, 4441 Collins Ave. Candlelight's Halloween edition in the Fontainebleau ballroom. Tickets at feverup.com/candlelight. The venue alone is worth it.

Nightmare in Wynwood — Halloween Bar Crawl — Friday Oct 30 — Starting at The Dirty Rabbit, Wynwood. The annual Wynwood bar crawl. Tickets at wynwoodmiami.com. If you're doing the club circuit, this is the most efficient way to cover multiple venues without paying separate covers at each.

Hoy Como Ayer Halloween Costume Party — Friday Oct 30 — 2212 SW 8th St, Miami. No cover, salsa all night, $200 prize for best costume. Tickets at hoycomoayer.us. The Little Havana anchor for the weekend.

Sounds of Screams — Friday Oct 30 — Miami. Miami's Halloween electronic music event. Tickets at soundsofscreams.com. The serious electronic music option for the weekend.

Halloween Night — Saturday, October 31

October 31 is the highest-traffic night of the year in Miami Beach and Wynwood. If you're going to either neighborhood, commit to one and stay there. Trying to move between them after 9 PM is a 45-minute Uber wait minimum.

Lincoln Road Halloween Block Party — FREE — Lincoln Road, Miami Beach. The biggest free Halloween event in South Florida. The entire pedestrian mall goes full costume. Free admission, open to all ages. This is the most accessible and most photographed Halloween event in the city. Arrive before 8 PM if you want to move freely.

R House: Enter Your Villain Era — R House Wynwood, 2727 NW 2nd Ave. Mistress Isabelle Brooks headlines. $500 for best dressed. Tickets at rhousewynwood.com. The Wynwood anchor for Halloween night — drag performance, full production, costume competition with real prize money.

Vampire Tide at Sexy Fish Miami — 1001 South Miami Ave, Miami. The Brickell option. Sexy Fish goes full vampire theme for Halloween night. Tickets at sexyfishmiami.com. If you want a proper dinner-to-nightlife transition without leaving Brickell, this is it.

E11EVEN: Halloween Night ft. DJ Diesel (Shaq) — 29 NE 11th St, Miami. The 24-hour club's Halloween headliner is Shaquille O'Neal behind the decks. Tickets at eventbrite.com. If you want the spectacle option, this is it.

Hocus Pocus at Factory Town — Factory Town, Hialeah. The large-scale Halloween festival with 100+ artists. Tickets at residentadvisor.net. The most sprawling option — multiple stages, art installations, and a full outdoor festival format.

Spooky Science Monster Mash — Frost Science — Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science, 1101 Biscayne Blvd. The 10th annual. Tickets at frostscience.org. The family-friendly anchor for Halloween night downtown.

Trick or Treat on the Mile — FREE — Miracle Mile, Coral Gables. Free, family-friendly trick-or-treating along Miracle Mile. The Coral Gables option for families who want to skip the Miami Beach crowds entirely.

The Vampire Ball by Nocturna — Museum of Sex Miami — 2200 NW 24th Ave, Miami. The 18+ vampire ball. Tickets at museumofsex.com. For the adults-only crowd that wants something genuinely theatrical.

The High-Low Matchmaker

The Splurge: Kiki on the River Paws & Pose ($99 Paw-Ty Pass) + Deering Estate Ghost Tour ($45) + Ghostbusters in Concert at the Arsht (tickets vary). Three distinct experiences across three days — riverfront luxury, genuine paranormal investigation, and a live orchestra. Total outlay under $200 for the full run.

The Save: Spooky Symphony at the Moss Center (free) + Vizcaya Halloween Harvest Market (free) + Sole & Wheels 5K on The Underline (free) + Lincoln Road Block Party (free). A complete Halloween weekend — symphony, farmers market, a costume run, and the city's biggest street party — at zero cost.

The Transit Strategy

Miami Beach on Halloween night is a parking disaster. The causeways back up by 8 PM. The practical moves: Metrobus Route S (South Beach Local) runs the full length of the Beach. The Metromover covers downtown and Brickell for free. Brightline connects Miami to Fort Lauderdale in 30 minutes — use it for The Parker events. For Wynwood, rideshare drop-off on NW 2nd Ave is the most efficient entry point. For Deering Estate, there is no transit option — drive south on US-1 and arrive early.

The PGM Edit

Play Miami

Nine days. Dozens of options. Zero excuses to spend Halloween stuck in traffic on the MacArthur.
