Part of our ongoing curation of what it means to live, love, and play in the Magic City.

Amelia Dimoldenberg built her audience by being the most deadpan interviewer on the internet — the creator of Chicken Shop Date has sat across from Drake, Harry Styles, and Stormzy and made them all slightly uncomfortable in the best possible way. IHG Hotels & Resorts has now turned the premise around: what happens when the host becomes the guest?

The "When the Host Needs Hosting" campaign puts Dimoldenberg inside IHG properties — lobby, room, pool — and applies her signature dry wit to the experience of being looked after rather than doing the looking after. The result is exactly what you'd expect from someone who has made a career out of finding the awkward truth in any situation: genuinely funny, genuinely observational, and genuinely good advertising for a hotel brand that is trying to reach an audience that has seen every hospitality campaign before.

The campaign is running across IHG's social channels and Dimoldenberg's own platforms. IHG Hotels & Resorts has properties across South Florida including the InterContinental Miami and multiple Holiday Inn and Kimpton locations.
